So I started my sewing escapade with trying to reduplicate a pair of underwear so that I could have an exact match and could re-make for myself out of whatever material I wanted.  Well, my first attempt was a complete failure lol and I bought the wrong type of fabric which didn't stretch at all and the pattern I was using stretched so needless to say the pair was too small :/  

But now that I have all this material that didn't work for my first project, I decided to try to make a scarf, and it turned out better than I had hoped lol.  Anyway, I know it's summer time and I'm not going to wear a scarf right now, but this lightweight flannel seemed perfect for a scarf.  So really it is just a long rectangular piece of fabric that I cut and hemmed up all the sides.  I also added buttons to the end of the scarf to give it some character.  I still have lots of fabric left over so I am going to try to make some more scarves as practice :)  I'll post those pictures when I am done, and see if anyone wants them.
