Update 10/02/2011

So I pretty much dropped the ball on this project, but I just got the godaddy renewal notice so now I am back into it lol.  I suppose it is the little things that will kick you in the butt to get going.  Work has been crazy busy and I didn't make time for this project, but now I am working on the newsletter.  Now would be a great time to go over to the website (thestrugglingartists.com) and sign up in the mailing list.  I've got the first artist lined up and the art is finished so it is just a matter of getting in gear with updating everything which will be in the next week or so.

My new project will be launching a new business!  My niece and I are putting together a website called thestrugglingartists.com that will feature a new unknown artist every week, but for the first little bit, we will feature a new artist every two weeks while we get things going.

I love art and some of the best art out there is undiscovered.  It seems that most artists who are struggling to get known don't have a good marketing strategy on their side.  We hope to provide a platform to give the artists a place to show their art by having limited edition signed prints by the artist and featuring the artist solely.  We have been working on getting the artists going on the art, and there is some really cool things in the works.  I hope to have the website and art up in about 3-4 weeks while we get everything prepared.

This blog will be detailing the items that I have to get in order to get the website up and running.  I hope that this blog will also help anyone else out there that is interested in launching their own business idea into a website.  The book that got me thinking about doing something like this is called The Four Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss.  I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in this sort of thing and feel trapped by the every day work that they do.  I hope you come along for the journey! :)
